Trauma Medical / Pistol Class

Subjects Covered	This class will be an introduction to IFAK equipment and its use. It will be a 9 hour class spent entirely on the range. The first half of the day will be spent on medical training and how to use equipment commonly found in most IFAK kits, and the second half of the day will be a pistol class including performance drills and one handed shooting / manipulations This is not an NRA course of instruction. Range Drills Include: Trauma Medical Care IFAK Equipment Essentials Medical Prioritization Science / Mechanics of one handed Shooting One Handed Manipulations Accuracy Drills Gear and Use BSA (Balance of Speed and Accuracy) Moving Off Line of Attack
What to Bring	You will need a minimum of 300 rounds for your pistol. Feel free to contact us if you have questions concerning IFAKs, but one will not be required to attand. You will need to bring safety glasses and hearing protection (electronic prefered so you can hear range commands). You will need to wear seasonally appropriate clothing. Shirts should have a round collar to prevent the unauthorized access of brass into your shirt. The ATHG range is outdoors and class will take place rain or shine so depending on weather you may need rain gear. We do have pistols and gear to rent if you need. Pistol in a self-defense caliber (.380ACP or larger) 3 Magazines (5 recommended) Holster (magazine holster recommended) No Shoulder Holsters! An open mind 300 rounds of ammunition Cleaning kit Safety Glasses Hearing Protection IFAK/Individual First Aid Kit - Personal Medical kit Seasonally appropriate clothing Sun screen and insect repelant A second pistol and gear is optional (in the event your primary pistol has technical issues)
Prerequisites	The student must be a current United States citizen and meets one of the three following; Posseses a current CPL license Is Active Duty Military or Active Full Time Law Enforcement Officer The student meets the criteria for a CPL in the State of Michigan and provides a letter of recommendation from their local Law Enforcement Agency attesting to the students good moral standing.
Location / Time	This class will be held at one of the local ATHG ranges in Mi. This class starts at 8 am and runs to 5 pm.
