What to Bring

You will need a minimum of 300 birdshot shells, 25 buckshot, and 20 slugs. You will need to bring safety glasses and hearing protection (electronic prefered so you can hear range commands). You will need to wear seasonally appropriate clothing. Shirts should have a round collar to prevent the unauthorized access of brass into your shirt. All shooting ranges used by ATHG are outdoor and will take place rain or shine so depending on weather you may need rain gear.

• Shotgun (any type)
• An open mind
• Shotgun Shell pouch or dump pouch recommended but not required
• 300 rounds of bird shot
• 25 Rounds of buck shot
• 20 Slug shells
• Cleaning kit
• Safety Glasses
• Hearing Protection
• IFAC/Individual First Aid Kit - Personal Medical kit
• Seasonally appropriate clothing
• Sun screen and insect repepant

Prerequisites

The student must be a current United States citizen and meets one of the three following;

• Posseses a current CPL license
• Is Active Duty Military or Active Full Time Law Enforcement Officer
• The student meets the criteria for a CPL in the State of Michigan and provides a letter of recommendation from their local Law Enforcement Agency attesting to the students good moral standing. 

Location

This class will be held at one of the local ATHG ranges in Mi. This class starts at 8 am and runs to 5 pm.
