Defensive Carbine II (Vehicles)
Defensive Carbine II (Vehicles)
| This course is the follow up to the DCI (Defensive Carbine I) course. In this course the student will continue to grow his/her skills they learned in DCI with a heavier focus on moving off line of attack, barricades, how to move-shoot-fight from inside and around vehicles, and beginning tactics. This is a 9 hour course spent entirely on the range. This is not an NRA course of instruction.
Range Drills Include:

What to Bring | You will need a minimum of 500 rounds for your carbine and 100 rounds for your pistol. You will need to bring safety glasses and hearing protection (electronic prefered so you can hear range commands). You will need to wear seasonally appropriate clothing. Shirts should have a round collar to prevent the unauthorized access of brass into your shirt. All shooting ranges used by ATHG are outdoor and will take place rain or shine so depending on weather you may need rain gear. We do have carbines and gear for rent if you need. This is a great way to try some different guns and gear before making any major purchases, or just to come out and try something new. It is very important to bring the right type of rifle ammunition. Since we use a lot of steel targets for this and all of our Carbine classes we do not allow any "green tipped, steel core, or rifle ammunition which is extremely harmful for steel targets". If you have any questions on ammunition which is acceptable for class please call us.
